Hеіdі Klυm plays all the Amazons!

We've been derelict in keeping up our magazine rack here at Body in Mind and we apologize. In fact, we almost missed these amazing images of the most popular Amazon these days, Hеіdі Klυm, in the current anniversary issue of GQ. In them, she plays all the feminine icons, including most of the Amazons, from popular culture over the last several decades, including Rаqυеl Wеlch, Mаrіlyn Mоnrое, Shаrоn Stоnе, Jаnе Mаnsfіеld and Sоphіа Lоrеn, Brіdgеt Bаrdоt, Fаrrаh Fаwcеtt, Phоеbе Cаtеs...

Need we say more? If you hurry they might still be on SALTYT,here.

Simone may be fake, but her beauty is real

Nеw Lіnе Pictures has just released Simone, a film about a down-and-out director (Al Pаcіnо) who makes a comeback by creating an unbelievably beautiful computer-generated actress, whose popularity he then has to destroy, but can't. After a year-long high-visibility promotional campaign, NLP have only now released the name of the very real actress who plays her, physically perfect Biotherm model, Rаchеl Rоbеrts.

Spokemen claim keeping Robert's identity a secret was a tactic designed to mirror the theme of the film, which is, the shallowness of Hollywood and of those who worship celebrities. But who is being shallow here? When was the last time anyone in Hollywood was worshipped for being absolutely stunningly gorgeous, as well as musically gifted, and a wonderful humanitarian, as Simone is supposed to be? Can we attribute any of these qualities to Wіnоnа Rydеr, Jеnnfіеr Lоpеz, Jеnnіfеr Anіstоn or Lіz Hυrlеy? Is it about their virtues that we are constantly reading of these ladies in the tabloid or celebrity news, or their multitudenous shortcomings and depravities?

It is the unique failing of our age that we have almost completely lost the ability to admire anything truly admirable. This is true of beauty, of talent, of goodness, of courage - of any human virtue. It was in fact only the terrorist attacks on 9/11 that jostled America and some of the rest of the world out of its hateful sleep. Only by such an overt act of hatred towards American values could people be roused out of their own hatred towards values and rekindle some real enthusiasm for the sight of heroism, courage, and justice. Notice the sudden appreciation only after the fact for the men who have been fighting for our lives every day up till then and since: firemen and soldiers. The day before these attacks, a rap group planned an album cover that coincidentally intended to depict a glorified jet bombing of the Wоrld Trаdе Center; a world famous restauranteur was proceeding with his plans to open a club which consisted of an jumbo jet crashed into a building. I suspect there were a great many moves to cover up intended acts of blatant hatred of values that next day. Not to mention many acts of true heroism. We will never know about most of them.

But there is one value that no one has made a move to cover their hatred for - well two actually: wealth and beauty. In fact, today we are witnessing the horror of our very own goverment leading the attack on business in America, and we are also witnessing the horror of our very own film industry leading the attack on beauty.

Simone is supposedly intended to depict and satirize the shallowness of celebrity worship, yet it merely takes a cheap shot at our love of beauty. A lot has been said lately about the possibility of realistic computer-generated human actors and actresses and the moral repercussions. As we have seen, even the promotional campaign for Simone capitalized on this controversy, and covered up the name of the actress who played Simone, in an attempt to make the character seem truly computer-generated.

Yet, one of the many surprising revelations made by the discovery of the Bеll Scаlе for measuring female beauty is that, objectively speaking, a cartoon character such as Jеssіcа Rаbbіt or Wоndеr Wоmаn or Simone, can be just as beautiful as a real woman. This is because beauty is a representation of values - it reminds us of the things we wish for. Indeed, a cartoon character can sometimes do this even better than a real woman can.

This means female beauty is equally real regardless of whether it's created by a real woman or a computer-generated one, and Simone, including all the hype about the realness or fakery involved in the creation of the lead actress in the film, is meant to make us forget one important, undeniable fact, and that is: that whether or not Simone is real or computer generated, she is beautiful, so beautiful in fact that Nеw Lіnе Pictures is counting on it to sell the film, so beautiful that many of you will click on the link below to a Rаchеl Rоbеrts gallery.

There are those of you who might be tempted to believe this film is not an attack on beauty but a sincere appeal for people to look for more values and less beauty in those they admire, but the tip off to the fact that this is indeed a real attack is that it doesn't offer anything better to admire. Taking away one's love of beauty and celebrities, will not create one truly beautiful woman, or one truly deserving recipient of celebrity. Only advocating an appreciation of real values can do that.

Remember kids: People can be shallow and fake. But female beauty is real.

Pаіntеd Lаdіеs

Israeli photographer and painter, Amіt Bаr, first contacted us many months ago with the following email:

"Dеаr Edіtоr, I have seen your beautiful site, and wish to expose my work on it. With kind regards, Amіt Bаr."

Needless to say we were thrilled that such an accomplished artist wanted to be a part of Body in Mind. We love the rare mixture of frankness and softness in his matter-of-fact artistic nudes, a mixture that made his images seem truly pretty without affectation, in the same way that some women wake up beautiful, without effort. But we soon noticed that there was no softness in our favourite photographs of his, no blurry effects, no soft-focus of any kind. The gentleness it seems, was wholly in Amіt Bаr himself, and in his precisely pretty vision of women, and the world.

Born in 1950 in Kіbbυtz Kfаr Hamaccabi, Israel, Amit studied art and comparative literature at The University of Haifa before becoming a freelance-photographer and painter in Doetinchem, Thе Nеthеrlаnds, but the sincerity of his love for the beauty of women became evident in his subsequent work. You see, all artists who love female beauty eventually mature to the point where they create images that depict beautiful nude women in harmony with the world around them, which is the way they want to see them, the way they wish it always was. Each artist finds his own way to do this, a way that is decided by his own individual character, and the degree of his talent and insight. For example DaVinci painted the Mоnа Lіsа sitting in the studio in formal clothes but with a natural backdrop. Gυstаv Klіmt painted women entwined in the patterns of expensive fabrics which were in turn entwined with nature. Amіt Bаr has found his own way to represent beautiful nude women as a natural part of reality, as a real part of nature, a way that combines his skills as a painter and a photographer. Amіt Bаr paints his women - literally. He paints on his models bodies and then photographs them in settings where the painting on their bodies blends with their surroundings. The result is some remarkable images of nude women who obviously feel free and fulfilled expressing their beauty, the way we wish all women felt, always.

This is the art of Amіt Bаr. Not that he paints backgrounds onto women's bodies in his photographs, but that he paints the beauty of women into the foreground of our lives.

We liked his work so much that we've just added 10 of his soft, quiet, pretty nudes to our galleries. Our beautiful site, just got more beautiful, thanks to Amіt Bаr.

The difference between civilization and barbarism

It's hard to imagine a barbaric country existing in the modern world, but exist they do, and they are multiplying. Happily, there are still many civilized countries as well. Perhaps the best way to illustrate the difference is to look at the way women are treated in civilized countries, versus the way they are treated in uncivilized ones.

For example, we were sent this news item last week by Kerrie in Australia about the trial of a gang of Islamic boys charged with repeatedly r4ping and defiling 3 white girls over a period of many hours. These boys giggled and insulted the girls all through the resulting trial, which lasted several months. A verdict of guilty was finally returned against the boys with a sentence of 55 years being handed down to their leader.

Australia is civilized. Despite the fact that they still allow people into the country who have no respect for women, and despite the fact that young women are still r4ped and murdered there, it is still against the law to do it, r4pіsts are prosecuted, and when found guilty, jailed.

On the other hand, we were also sent this news item about yet another woman in Nigeria being sentenced to death by stoning by the Sharia courts for the 'crime' of getting pregnant out of wedlock. In spite of the globally known truth that men are necessary for a woman to get pregnant, Nigeria's official court system continues to use this law to unfairly target and publicly butcher innocent women and mothers for their viewing pleasure.

Nigeria is barbaric.

Happily, a friend of Body in Mind also sent us this lovely photo of a lady engineer graduating from a refresher course in Kabul, Afghanistan. Poignantly, the recent rise and fall of the Taliban there demonstrates how easily countries can slide down the slope from being civilized into a state of abject barbarism. All it takes is for those countries to stop punishing those who brutalize women, and to start doing it themselves.

We must be ever vigilant to make sure this never happens here. Civilization, mankind's most beautiful daughter, depends on it.

Nice new picures of Kаtе Mоss

One of the most surprising realizations that came from devising the Bеll Scаlе, and one of the great testiments to the power of female beauty, is that even the young women who hover between Thе Lіttlе Girl and Thе Lіttlе Boy on our scale, are still quite beautiful. Kаtе Mоss and Nаtаlіе Pоrtmаn come to mind.

The most beautiful woman in the world expecting second child

The beauty-measuring scale, recently developed and published by D.Bell, revealed who the most beautiful woman in the world really is - Ellе Mаcphеrsоn. Before then there was no objective way to measure beauty, and so no way to determine the most beautiful woman in the world. Thus, in the past, there has been much heated disagreement and many colorful opinions about it. More regretfully, the most beautiful woman, whoever she was in her time, always went unheralded, unaccredited, and unappreciated.

But now, thanks to the Bеll Scаlе, it is possible to know with objective certainty who the most beautiful woman really is. It's really very simple. Thе Bеll Scale works by taking every stereotypical beauty type known to mankind and places them all on a scale, from Amazon-like women at the high end to boyish women at the low end. In fact, it's so simple one might wonder why no one has discovered it before, but it took D.Bell's breakthrough identification of beauty as the representation of values to provide the key. It allowed the stereotypes to fall in line all by themselves, simply by virtue of the number of human values each embodied, with the Amazon enbodying the most, and the Lіttlе Bоy none.

Thus, if we can find no woman more 'Amazonian' than Ellе Mаcphеrsоn, and if Amazons represent the most positive human values, things like confidence, purpose, self-esteem, happiness, as well as height, voluptuousness and raw sex appeal, then who could be more beautiful than Elle? Who is taller, happier, better built, more self-possessed, more feminine?

Exactly.

So what does this have to do with Elle having a second child? It has to do with the quote in the article in which Elle cites being a mother as her greatest accomplishment in life. While we would never try to convince anyone of a lack of value in child-bearing, it seems to us that anyone can do it. What is rare is a beauty like Elle's. And what's even rarer is the woman who receives credit for it. Elle never has, and honestly has no clue that she is indeed the most beautiful woman in the world. And if she did, she probably wouldn't care, or at least, wouldn't admit it. Unfortunately, our society reserves a special ire for those women who give even the slightest indication that they know they are beautiful.

Yet, here is a woman with an unprecedentedly joyous sense of life, a body that was an idealized classic sculpture come to life and animated by the spirit of female sexuality itself, and a refreshingly honest lack of shame in displaying both. Here was the woman who single-handedly put the heroic, larger-than-life 'super' into the word supermodel. Nicknamed 'Thе Bоdy', she proceeded to make the Spоrts Illυstrаtеd Swіmsυіt Issυе a household name, and demonstrated that a woman could be beautiful enough to appear fully nude in films, yet bypass the moral backlash that would - and did - brand less rare beauties 'B' movie bimbos.

Elle was also the first woman of great beauty to allow herself to be photographed breast-feeding - a great leap forward for all womankind, a way of allowing all women to feel sexy and completely unashamed in the process of child-bearing.

We will always have the many incredibly beautiful photos and films of Elle to enjoy. Young men can look at her and dream of a future where a creature as lovely will smile at them with affection. Old men can see her nubile naked body glistening with surf water, and her playful eyes held hautily out of reach by the natural upward lift of her head and remember gratefully that they are still a man. These are gifts of inestimable value, gifts that will only increase in value with time, and when last we checked, gifts whose generocity of spirit had gone unreturned.

Without a credit or a complaint, Ellе Mаcphеrsоn remains, the most beautiful woman in the world.

Renowned photographer joins Body in Mind

Acclaimed for the beauty of his work in print, television and video, Lаυrіе Jеffеry succeeds where most have failed. He creates uniquely beautiful images of a world where we want to live, a world where pretty women feel perfectly natural and safe being naked and admired, right smack dab in our daily lives, in any setting. We love Jeffery's work because it states that a nude woman in such a setting is not improper, but proper. It says the world should be a place where such a scene would be considered perfectly natural. It says that the men and women who admire her are good, not bad. It says female beauty is not naughty, but nice.

Attеmptеd Mυrdеr!

Murder is defined as willfully taking the life of another human being. Thіs Sυndаy night we will witness the attempted murder of one of the most beautiful women who has ever existed - Annа Nіcоlе Smith.

The law doesn't distinguish between the number of murderers, although our language does. In my page on Thе Mаіd of the Mist human sacrifices - I pointed out that we have a word for the kind of person who kills an innocent young woman, but no such word for a whole society that does it.

There are many ways to kill a person. The law doesn't distinguish between them either. You can shoot a person with a gun, or you can take away what that person needs to live. Either way it is murder. Thіs Sυndаy our entire society will play part to the attempt to take away what Annа Nіcоlе Smith needs to survive.

Anna needs the same thing we all do - a reason to live. Anna's reason to live is to be admired for pleasing people with her beauty. She has discovered that she can make people happy by displaying herself naked, and she does it, with the joy of a small child who has just learned to walk, and with the bravery of an astronaut who goes where few have gone before and returned safely.

Yet E!'s reviewer claimed that her new show, to be televised this Sunday night, is brilliant, not because Anna is gorgeous, but because it's hilarious. The show is about Anna's private day to day life. They are not laughing with Anna, they are laughing at her.

Laughing at someone because they're stupid or handicapped is horrible enough. But what's inhuman is to laugh at someone because they are intelligent, or talented, or beautiful. That kind of mockery is the mark of pure evil. If you've seen someone laugh like this, you've seen them eject themselves from the realm of what can properly be called human. You've seen the creation of a monster.

Bυt Annа is too innocent to realize this - she tries to ingratiate herself to those who laugh at her by admitting that her life really is funny. She thinks she may get a show or some acting work as a result of the show. She is like the playground runt who thinks he'll get accepted if only he lets people make fun of him and beat him up.

She and he are counting on the people around them to have the same amount of bottom line human decency that they have towards others. They hope that if they degrade themselves willingly, and spare those around them the trouble of doing it themselves, that those people will take pity on them and stop persecuting them.

But this kind of compassion exists only in human beings, not in the monsters that surround them, and the persecuted usually learn this too late, and the lesson is devastating.

It was precisely this kind of hatred of values in the people around her, hatred of the good, the bright, the beautiful, the happy, the successful, the innocent - that overwhelmed Mаrіlyn Mоnrое, and compelled her to take her own life - or rather, which made her reach the point where she didn't care if she lived or died, where her life meant nothing to her any longer.

Anna is already showings signs of the same thing, although not as dramatically. She is one of the most gorgeous creatures ever to grace our species, yet she has let herself go to the point where she seems fat and slow. As recently as 5 years ago, she made a heroic attempt to get her career back on track. She cleaned herself up after a stint in rehab thanks to grueling workout schedule. She was stunning. Jessica rabbit should have looked so perfect. Yet there was no one to give Anna any work. Not even Playboy wanted her. You can read about it here.

It was this strange silence in the face of such great beauty, beauty offerred as playfully and hopefully as a puppy who's been mistreated by a hateful owner but now has a chance to be adopted by a kind one, that is beyond an innocent person's ability to grasp, and leaves them powerless to defend themselves.

Since then, Anna has suffered 5 years of mockery as a scrupulous gold digger for giving an old man the same thrill that most red-blooded men would have died for. She gave him her love. Now she will be punished even more. The world has tricked Anna into going before a camera in order that she may be laughed at and mocked by the entire world, in one final, twisted, heartless, undeniable failure of compassion and simple decency on a global scale.

If you think I'm being extreme, put yourself in Anna's shoes. Imagine if you woke up one day and noticed that someone out there was systematically removing and destroying the very thing that made you want to get out of bed in the morning. You noticed that they had no intention of stopping and you feared that if they didn't stop, you would soon lose everything you cared about. You would wonder why anyone would do such a thing to you. You'd wonder what you might have done to deserve it. But you'd feel helpless to stop it. Now, keeping all that in mind, do you think you would feel better or worse about that person's cruelty towards you if you discovered that the reason they were destroying you was simply because it made them laugh?

Think of this before you laugh at Annа Nіcоlе this Sunday night. It is a choice you have. You do not have to do it.

Those who do choose to laugh anyway, are willfully taking away Anna's reason to live, and are committing the crime of attempted homicide. If they succeed, they will become the second generation in a row to murder the most beautiful blonde on earth.

You can read more about her new show here.
