The popular modern theory of female beauty tells us that facial symmetry is what makes a woman attractive. That theory however doesn't explain why the most beautiful models and actresses are not actually perfectly symmetrical. This theory also tells us that if you average the features of several faces with each other the resulting face is widely considered to be more beautiful. However, this has been contradicted by the discovery that enlarging a woman's eyes and shrinking her chin was found to make an average face more attractive. But what then allows us to find one such face more attractive than another? Every attempt to define female beauty as strictly mathematical has failed because it is actually personality that makes one woman more attractive than another. Through emotion and attitude we can see a woman's personality in her face, and it's this - more than averaging or re-sizing features - that makes one woman more beautiful to us than another.
