Dance of the 7 veils
Belly dance has always had a sensual allure, and never more so than when accompanied by the sweep of beautiful scarves and veils, swirling airily around a woman's swollen breasts and wildly gyrating hips. In biblical legend, Salome danced her "dance of the seven veils" to tempt Herod, an idea which was based on old Babylonian tales of fertility goddesses dropping their robes and appearing naked before the underworld gods.
