A big record company recently successfully sued a woman for $222,000 for downloading bootleg copies of songs. Expensive and often unsuccessful lawsuits have become cheaper than allowing theft to continue unopposed. The same is true for stealing zips of paysite photosets and illegally posting them on public forums. Many people who download illegally posted zips think it doesn't cost anything.
