Eternal lover
As beautiful as a field of lush crimson poppies looks, it might seem like an odd place in which to photograph a beautiful woman. Poppies, after all, are a symbol of sleep because of the opium derived from them, and death because of their lurid blood red hue. A whole field of poppies evokes the image of a drowsy, dreamy, eternal sleep, not the sort of place to find the vibrant, engaging delight for the senses that is a beautiful woman. Yet we think this set by new BiM photographer Iurii Galmour shows the beauty of Ingrid to perfection. After all, the Persians call the poppy 'the eternal lover' flower, and see it as a symbol of love - and what's not to love about Ingrid?
