The Spirit of America ![]() My first emotional reaction to the World Trade Center jet-bombing was the urge to go to New York right then and there and to start rebuilding with my bare hands. For me, it had been Man's ability to create such things as the WTC towers that had been visciously attacked. Then, when I received an email from the Quent Cordair Fine Art Gallery featuring the latest painting by one of their most brilliant artists, I had another emotional reaction, which consisited of 'THAT'S IT!'. Entitled A New Height (click here), completed weeks before the attack at the WTC, gloriously captures the proper spirit of America, a spirit that perhaps some had failed to properly appreciate, until now. It is the spirit of an ubridled enthusiasm for life and for our own worth. It is the spirit which created the WTC towers in the first place; it is the spirit for which it was destroyed. The Quent Cordait Fine Art Gallery has graciously allowed me to provide you with a link to this brilliant painting - a painting that depicts the proper action for any non-soldier to take in response to the attacks on Tuesday, and clearly glorifies that for which we all must often fight - our glorious ability to build a better, higher, smarter everything, and our right to be free from those who would try to stop us.
