December 31, 2002 - Is beauty worth defending?

Thе Yеаrly 'State-of-Undrеss' Addrеss

Body in Mind has been online now for over 5 years, and in that time there have been some major changes in the world, both good and bad, as regards female beauty and the sexual freedoms women have. On the good side, we are today in the midst of what seems to be a spontaneous groundswell movement towards a greater respect and understanding in the world for female beauty and the freedom of women to be beautiful. For example, there are a whole new breed of websites out there which are making a point of respecting the women who share their beauty with the rest of us, sites that refuse to call a pretty woman who poses nude a 'dirty slut' or a 'nasty whore'. These sites are accepting and openly enjoying the immense value that female beauty offers us while refusing to allow themselves or the women they admire to be branded as dirty, depraved, destuctive, or dangerous. We at Body in Mind have done nothing else in our 5 years. We have consistently defined, defended and praised these positive views of women and beauty, and we are immensely gratified if we have played a part in encouraging this trend.

But this trend cannot be taken for granted. The respectful websites we see popping up are being created by men who grew up in a day when female beauty was at its peak - the 60's. I'm not talking about hippies. I'm talking about Bаrbаrа Fеldоn as 99 on GetSmart, Elіzаbеth Mоntgоmеry in Bewitched, and Bаrbоrа Edеn in I Dream of Genie. In film, I'm talking about Rаqυеl Wеlch and Ursυlа Andrеss, of whom Hаllе Bеrry does a poor immitation in the latest Bond film. I'm talking about the Playboy centerfolds we all remember secreting away as private treasures under our beds. And I'm talking about the classy feminine fashions of the late 50's and early 60's. It was a time of long vinyl boots and miniskirts, tight sweaters, and Bоbby Sоx. Make no mistake, femininity was invented my friends, and it reached it technological peak - its fullest flower - over 30 years ago.

It is not surprising then that the boys who were exposed to it grew up remembering it. And it is not too surprising that they would resent hearing the women they love denounced, or themselves being called depraved for loving them. It makes sense such men would create websites - even philosophies - devoted to it, and devoted to recreating the kind of beauty we know can exist in the world but is becoming increasingly rare these days.

But what are the boys of the future learning about beauty today? Is it being presented as a supremely potent moral force in the lives of human beings, or as the destructive aberation of an even bigger aberration: mankind? Is the greatest beauty being used in movies and television, or in pornography? Are the women who achieve great beauty seen as heroes, or sluts?

The future of female beauty and ultimately of mankind, depends on the answers to these questions.

Which brings us to the bad developments in the world regarding female beauty. Never before in man's history have women been treated so horribly for simply being beautiful than they are now being treated in much of the world. In fact, most of the recent pages on Body in Mind have been dedicated to defending women and their beauty from the most gruesome and malevalent threat they have ever known - fundamentalist Islam. And in response to my efforts to make the world safe for women, I have received bushels of hate emails, not from Islamic fundamentalists, but from the other great threat to women: feminists. I won't blast feminists in this page today, but I am working on a page devoted exclusively to that task. (Somehow it keeps getting moved to the bottom of my to-do list, right under clean behind the toilet.)

I don't normally complain in this address, but I do have one concern I'd like to voice. What has really made my task heavier - and more and more depressing - is the fact that I am still the only one in the world actively defending women and their beauty. Many people are only too happy to make a living off of female beauty, whether their own or someone else's, to love it and squeeze it and call it George, but for some inexplicable reason, they will not defend it or themselves when it is attacked. They are like a man who watches his girlfriend get attacked and r4pеd right beside him without lifting a finger to help her! How can anyone do this?! Is it because deep down they really do believe female beauty is evil and that the women who possess it deserve to suffer? I tell you this, if anyone wants to start another trend, one towards defending the very beauty that so many are lately learning to admire, I'd be extremely grateful!

But then I guess knowledge - and love - of beauty comes in stages. So I guess I'll have to wait patiently for the rest of mankind to catch up.

And for those lonely few heroes out there who are defending beauty and beautiful women when they are attacked, I salute you my friends. You deserve a great big kiss from every beautiful woman on the planet. This website is your reward.

Many of our regular readers are perhaps surprised to find Body in Mind still online at all, due to the fact that last year we announced it would be Body in Mind's last. Well, we changed our minds.

A large part of why we're still here is the new Body in Mind galleries. It's our hope to make enough money from them to devote ourselves 100% to creating images and videos of the greatest female beauty possible - the kind that comes from putting all of our scientific theories on beauty into real works of art. We have several videos in the works with some of our favourite artists and models from around the world. We hope to be telling you about these soon.

But galleries are a slow process. There is not as many high quality images of female beauty out there as you might expect. We have the highest standards anywhere, and we will not add images or galleries just to pad our members area. We pick every image out by hand, and include only the very best of the photographers we feature. Because of this, Body in Mind is becoming one of the fastest growing sites around.

For this we, Leanne and I, want to say "Thanks!" to our new Body in Mind members. You are ladies and gentlemen all. In fact, we are pleasantly surprised at the existence of such thoughtful, moral, and delightful people in the world today, and we are proud to have them as members, and some now as friends.

We also want to thank our loyal non-paying visitors, who have sustained us over the years, and to absolutely anyone and everyone who has ever looked at a beautiful woman and thought, "Nice." These are the good people, and from what I can tell, they are the only ones.

And I want to say thank you to all the women out there who allow themselves to be the vessels of more than life, of the thing that makes human life possible, both physically and spiritually, by moving, motivating, and inpsiring us, to creation, to morality, and to love: beauty.

Which brings me finally to my lovely wife Leanne. Thank you my darling. You are the only lasting reward I have for being the best person I can be. Baby, you make it all worthwhile. You are beautiful.

We'll see you all in the Nеw Yеаr!
